ECL Season 3 will run from June 27 to July 6, 2025, and the whole tournament will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. It is a T10 format which completes everything quickly- matches are short, loud, and packed with moments which can turn everything on its head with just a few balls. Again, keeping the whole event in a single venue gives the feeling of the festival-like atmosphere where audiences get to watch back-to-back matches.
The eight teams this season are the Bangalore Bashers, Chennai Smashers, Dynamic Delhi, Haryanvi Hunters, Kolkata Superstars, Lucknow Lions, Mumbai Disruptors, and Rajasthan Rangers. Each team has a distinct mix of personalities, and most of them come from the digital world, which is different from traditional cricket. This is partly what differentiates the league-it mixes cricket with influencer culture, giving it a flavor you do not get at mainstream tournaments.

The captains are mostly popular creators. Bangalore is led by Abhishek Malhan, while Chennai is under the captaincy of Gulshan Nain, and Dynamic Delhi is guided by Mohd Asif. Elvish Yadav leads at Haryanvi Hunters, while Pushkar Raj Thakur is looking at Kolkata Superstars. Lucknow’s squad is under Anurag Dwivedi, while the Mumbai team is under Munawar Faruqui, and the Rajasthan Rangers have Zayn Saifi as captain. Each captain has shaped their respective squads; thus, the teams reflect their personalities-some are more aggressive, some strategic, while a few try to strike a balance between the two.
Alongside these familiar faces from past seasons, auctioning into the current season were also many shiny new talent fresh out of social media stardom. Some names like Ravindra Singh, Dhruv Malik, Shubham Singh, and Dev Mavii made quite the noise while bidding. All teams work with a particular purse of ECL Coins, which adds to the thrill of competition and removes the chances of any single team monopolizing the famous names.
The ownership aspect is a bit hazy because many influencers are the faces of teams and also decision-makers. A small group of partners along with the captain handles almost all decisions in these teams. The way the league conducts its affairs is quite informal, which could be one of the reasons it connects with fans – relaxed and fun rather than corporate.
For the audience at home, matches are broadcast on Sony Sports channels, and sign-ups for the league go on its official page on YouTube. A few of the OTT platforms also have the distribution, so it is not that difficult to catch the games from anywhere.
Both sport and entertainment pretty much blend into each other for what made Season 3, as the previous editions, so popular. The 2025 season definitely feels, with quick games and big personalities against a lively indoor setting, as if it is all about enjoyment and not much else-and that is why people keep coming back.
