Janhvi Kapoor has been shining bright as one of the new young stars in Bollywood and is admired for her grace, charm, and budding talent. She was born on March 7, 1997, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, being the dearly cherished daughter of a super idol lady of Indian cinema, the late Sridevi, and respected film producer Boney Kapoor. With cinema well and truly set in her family, it was natural for Janhvi to join her parents in the film industry. Impressed by Ishaan Khatter, with whom she starred opposite, she made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak (2018).

Her late mother, Sridevi, is remembered as one of the greatest actresses of all time, while her father is a celebrated producer. She shares a warm bond with her siblings — Khushi Kapoor (younger sister), Arjun Kapoor (half-brother), and Anshula Kapoor (half-sister).
She did her schooling from the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and went abroad upon finishing to do acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, an institution where several Bollywood star kids have studied as well.

Well beyond acting, Janhvi loves dancing, travelling, and listening to music.. She is also a foodie at heart, with a particular love for South Indian and Italian cuisines.
Career Journey

Initially, Janhvi was cast in roles for Simba and Student of the Year 2 but chose to wait for the right opportunity. Her major career opportunity came with Karan Johar’s Dhadak, which went commercial and is widely recognised as a landmark project for her. Since then, she has made multiple films while trying to carve an identity for herself apart from the family legacy.

Belonging to one of the influential film families of India, Janhvi was subjected to both expectations and scrutiny. Though Sridevi wished her daughter not to go into acting in the beginning, later, her mother and father supported her because of her sheer determination.
