Inspirations from Italy
Said the idea for the establishment, compared to a germ or a thought germ, was planted while in Capri, Italy. The siblings were enchanted with the simple and sincere Italian hospitality and the culinary treats that chiefly grabbed their hearts. Later, this inspiration gave birth to the thought of opening a place in Ahmedabad that was a face of the Italian café culture.
The Name and Logo
“Campanella” takes its name from a charming term from Italian, meaning “little bell,” signifying goodwill and prosperity. The café’s logo takes the form of a bell with waves underneath it, echoing the ocean around the island of Capri. Even the entrance is dotted with original Capri bells, honouring its Italian lineage.
From Passion to Profession
Before she started Campanella, Kritika first entered the culinary world by attaining a Diploma in Culinary Arts and then an MA in Culinary Arts Management. However, the real challenging part was creating Campanella as a business because she lacked business skills. Under the guidance of their father and with the assistance of food consultants, they could overcome these problems to establish an authentic Italian café.
